This course provides an overview of digital accessibility and its importance, including a number of activities for which your laptop will be required. This course will cover: Introduction to accessibility – The purpose of this section of the course is to gain an understanding of the range and numbers of us who have needs that effect how we consume digital content. Resources, terminology and policy – Like any other specialty, accessibility has its own terminology, resources, and policies – all of which are covered in this section. Accessibility methods and tools - In this section we’ll learn about tools and methods we can use to make digital content accessible. 

How to get started? – We review in this section some of the resources discussed and introduce methods and processes you can use when you resume work on your digital products and applications to ensure they’re as accessible as possible. You will need to bring your laptop in order to participate in the class activities.
